Clicking noises in Mpeg2 render. Why?

Music on timeline plays back fin, but when I render I get clicking sounds periodically throughout my video. Any suggestions?

can you post a sample? Your description is somewhat vague ( could be clipping or any number of things, and your description just doesn't give anyone enough to go on )

This is sometimes due to playing an audio format that is not correctly supported by your audio card. This will tend to be different on different players, so, you might try playing the render from within vegas, within DVDA, with WMP, any other players you might have.

Before getting too excited it's probably worth burning a DVD and seeing if these clicks are present.

Of course there can be other reasons for periodic clicks & whatnot, but it could be as simple as sample rate mismatches with your card.
