Problems Rendering to .Mp4 - No iods atom???
Hello, I have been reading a lot on this forum and finally, I have a question.
I have vegas 8 pro and when trying to render a clip to .Mp4, It goes through the render process fine. When I try to play it an error comes up and says: Invalid MPEG-4 file format: file doesn't have an iods atom. I have tryed different players and nothing will play the file. It will however load into another editing program. I can export into .WMV, but thats not what I am after. Any ideas on what I can do? Thank you Stew P.S. I am using footage shot with an SR5. |
What player are you using? The latest version of Quicktime player should be able to handle the Vegas mp4 output files. I've tried it recently with both the Sony and Mainconcept h.264 codecs and it works fine.

Man, I should have been able to figure that out.
Upgraded Quicktime ---> video works fine. Thank you very much for the fast reply. Stew |
Glad to help. But what the hell is an iods atom? :)

Initial objects descriptor atom - Thats what it stands for but I don't know what it is.
