video shake?

I am tyring to figure out a way to make my video shake using *just* vegas...any ideas?

Pan/Crop and keyframes. You can then add movement to make it shake. However, I'd seriously look at the NewBlueFX if I were you. They have some effects that add shaking very well.

Yeah, i was looking at it right now, I downloaded the free trial, it does exactly what I need it to, but I dont know if I want to spend the cash on that one effect. most likely will though.

last thing.


freeze frames? In all the years I have been using vegas, I always forget to figure that out. how do I do those?

Add a velocity envelope to the event. Then change the velocity to 0% at the point you want it to freeze frame. You'll need two keyframes at the point (one at normal speed and the second at 0%).

It would be nice if VegasQuake was updated to work with Pro 8. Currently I use Mercalli. It has a shake feature that comes with it.
