Animation over a number of events

I have a series of 210 stills which are of a jigsaw being done. Each still has one piece added to the puzzle so that when they are strung together the jigsaw is done.

Is it possible to do a pan/crop/zoom over a series of stills/events like this, as opposed to just a single still/event? The puzzle as it is being done needs a bit more animation - like slight rotation or zoom.

How could this be done?

Did you look at the "Track Motion" feature? I think it may be what you are looking for...

Make them all children to one parent track. Then you can use Parent Track Motion on that master track to manipulate the whole thing without having to mess with each track individually.

Thanks guys. I'll have a look at that. Appreciated.

Renton,

Seeing as how you now have 2 options I will try to clarify the purpose of each so you can employ the most appropriate method.

If all your stills are going on the same track throughout, then you can probably get away with just "Track Motion" on that track.

However, if your stills are going on multiple tracks (because you are doing more complex editing that requires more than a single track) then you would want to do as Edward said and make all those tracks children of a single parent, and then use "Parent Track Motion".

Thanks Andrew. I've never used the parent/child feature - although I have switched it on accidentally a number of times...and then struggled to cancel whatever it did!!!

Maybe this is the time I get to learn it! :-)

I've never done it either but a tutorial from Sony called Using the parent/child track relationship makes it look pretty straightforward.
