Dynamic RAM preview (Preview-Full) limited?

Hey, anyone much about Dynamic RAM Preview?

When I build dynamic RAM preview in preview windows settings quarter or half, I can build very long previews, havent tested maximum but 10 seconds works...

But, when I have preview settings to Preview-Full, I can only build a 1 or 2 seconds of preview...After that the preview stops building my 6 seconds of desired preview that I wanted....
Somehow it refuse to build more like I didnt have enough RAM or something (i doubt it, it cant be the reason)...
So the Dynamic RAM Preview stops so I cant preview long enough.
I like preview-full to view my work with alot of details in.

My system specc's is:
Windows Vista x64
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz
4GB RAM 667MHz
2x160GB SATA2 Drives

I have tested it on Windows XP sp2 also, but still same problem.
My Laptop, Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, have the same issue.

Is someone else experience this problem?

The Dynamic RAM preview that you're doing is Ctrl+B, right? Then yes, on Full mode, only a few seconds would show up, whereas on lesser quality modes the preview would be longer.

The ram preview will use up to however much ram you have specified in the preferences. Can you change it to a higher number in the preferences? If yes, raise it an you'll get a longer section rendered. I'd probably lower it back down before the final render, though.

Yes Shift-B is what I do (Dynamic RAM Preview).

I though the preview mode would be individual, depending how much RAM the user got...

Ok, anyway now I know it is limited... thnx for responding...

Wait.. sry forgot to mention, a couple of years ago, I had Vegas 6 or 7, I dont remember, then I was able to use more then 1,2 or 3 seconds of preview in settings 'preview-Full'. I cant even remember that it was limited at all, because I hadent any problems at all with the shift-B...

I used 6-7 sec without any problems...

Kim, have you gone to the preferences and changed the amount of ram to be used by the RAM preview? If not, give that a shot - you may be able to go higher - possibly MUCH higher - allowing a longer preview time.

ops... You where right, It was a couple of month ago I worked with Vegas, and I had totally forgot to change the amount of ram to a higher value then my 128 it was set too... =) thnx
Maximum choice is 1024, that would do about 8 sec or so, thats enough.. =)
