Sound effects in Vegas 8?
 

does this app come with effects? Not reverb etc.. but foley effects like horns, whoose sounds, mechanical sounds etc....

I downloaded the upgrade but the previous versions have had sound effects ....

David, to answer your question directly, no Vegas does not have sound effects included. But I would look for them at Soundsnap...great site, all free.

If you get the "Extras" CD, there may be a few included on it. I haven't gotten the extras CD in ages so I'm not sure what's included on it today. Doing a quick web search will usually find you anything you're looking for anyway.

David, if you're looking to buy some very good quality sound FX, I highly recommend the collections from Digital Juice.
There are 3 sets (on sale right now for $100 each if you buy 2 or more).
Each set is 12 DVDs with over 10,000 SFX per set.
I bought the entire collection and the animation students at the college I work for love it :-)
