No Key frame settings

My key frame settings have disappeared from my event FX and track FX, can someone let me know what I have switched off and how I can get them back to normal.

Click and Drag

This has happened to me many times.

You have minimized the tracks.

Move your mouse to the bottem edge of the FX window. Your mouse should change to a double arrow. When it does, click and drag up and you should see your missing tracks.

I hope this helps.

Mine disappear now and then, they are not hidden or minimized, they are gone, don't know why, I just reinstall, only takes a few minutes

Splitter Cursor

There are two different cursors that you will see at the bottom of the Video Event FX window. One of them is a solid double arrow. This will only resize the window.

There is a second cursor that you will see at a location just higher than the resizing cursor. The second cursor (splitter cursor) is the one that you need to use in order to drag the timeline up and into view. I have attached an image of the cursor so you can see what you are looking for. The curser looks like a wide "equals" sign with one arrow pointing up and one arrow pointing down.

Good luck.

As a follow-up to Tim's post... You can also double-click the title bar of those windows and they will expand to show everything... including the keyframe section.

This issue (and the split screen issue) are both fully explained in Vol 6 #1 of my newsletters. They're not really "problems" with Vegas - just "features" that most people don't realize exist.
