Best training for Vegas

I'm using Vegas 7 and I won't upgrade until a 9 version. Not because there's something wrong with 8, I dont' need what has been added.

I'm aware that some of the sponsors here offer training for Vegas, but I was wondering if it's possible to have objectives opinions about what is the best training options for Vegas out there, either on line or DVD
thanks
Larry

2 great sources.1) VASSTtraining DVDs by Spot (douglasSpotted Eagle) andEdward Troxels Newsletters available by find a post of his andclicking on his signature. Even though some of the newletters refer to older versions of Vegas many if not most of the basics remain the same. Read 'em all.
Also just load in some footage and play around, you can't hurt anything.

Have fun

Click,Push,Pull,Drag,Capture everything.
It's an earlier Vegas version but the Vegas 6 Editing Workshop book by DSE is great for getting your head around things.
Cheers

For purchase, the major sources are VASST, Class On Demand, and Sony.

For free, the major sources are VASST and my site.

There's many other sources out there that a quick search will pull up as well.

AFAIK, save your money and just use it. The included help files will explain everything you need to know.

Oh, and just do a search in this forum when something stumps you. All the answers have been written 1000 times.

For Vegas tutorials i use youtube.

It's so much easier to understand something you see rather than read.

yes, after playing with it for 3 months I can see that I've learned a lot. I thought maybe I was missing something, buy hey, since I'm not a pro and it's a hobby, I think I'm going to go with forums, Youtubes and other free sources.
Thanks for the tips
