Which render format to burn to a DVD

OK, while I am still experiment with Vegas 8.0 Pro, I need your expertise please.
Which render format should I configure to allow me to burn to the DVD.
I render my clips to WMV but when I try to burn to a DVD using Nero, it said errors.
What did I do wrong? Please please help.

If you are trying to make a DVD that will play in a DVD player, then MPEG-2 is what you need to encode.

as Peter said MPEG is the DVD format but before you render in Vegasgoogle a 'bitrate' calculator (they're all over the web) andset the proper bitrate for the length of video you want to render. Otherwise you'll be rendering again so it'll fit.

You might also want to take a look at Vol 1 #7 and Vol 4 #1 of my newsletters for more details on going to DVD from Vegas. Vol 1 #7 includes a bitrate table as well.
