DVD Architect 4 - What am I doing wrong?

Designed a few DVD's based around the same template. With the following buttons/links

PLAY ALL - Plays a PLAYLIST
CHAPTERS - Goes into a menu with every clip linked to play individuallyl
CREDITS etc etc etc

When you click on PLAYALL - it will play sequentially one after another as per playlist, but if i click NEXT on my DVD remote it jumps to something almost at the end of the playlist/dvd.

Im baffled, but I suspect its got something to do with chapters? I then went in and added a 'chapter marker' for every avi file in there, but still no joy.

Please, anyone, help!
Many, many thanks

Instead of a playlist, what if you add each clip to the project a second time, have a menu item point to the first one, and then "end action" to each of the rest in order. The "next" button will then work correctly.

Hi Edward

Thanks for your reply. I will do this tomorrow - fingers crossed it works! Appreciate your time in replying.

Is this a 'known issue' or something that is made functional in later versions of DVDa? Or, is there an easier way of doing such things in future?

Regards

I've never used playlists. I know you can add the same media to the project (pane to the left of the menu design) multiple times and it will only be included on the DVD itself once. But adding it multiple times lets you use it in different ways.

If you want the previous and next buttons to both properly work between all chapters, give DVD Architect a SINGLE file (which is what I normally do). You can still play individual chapters by adding the long file multiple times and setting the proper in and out points.

Plus, if you use multiple files, you'll get a very slight pause as the player moves from one file to the next one.
