Anyone using Sorenson Squeeze

Anyone using Sorenson Squeeze,

Is it worth rendering the timeline to AVI and then import into Sorenson Squeeze and then compress to mpeg-2 for DVD files?
Is there any benefit in doing this? I have noticed that SS uses Main Concept, Vegas uses the same compression.
I don’t have Sorenson Squeeze but wondering if this is worth the cost to get better looking compression.

Generally speaking, you're not going to get a better compression with Squeeze, Procoder, etc. What these products offer is workflow enhancement. This makes the biggest difference when you're doing high volume work, but can be handy for lower volume work as well.

So while the basic answer to your question is "no, no better results from squeeze than out of Vegas," there may be other reasons to use a dedicated compression tool, such as batch processing scripts, watched folders, auto-ftp, a quick set of good filters for B&C, CC, Normalization, Sharpen, Soften, logging, and etc.
