Static

I just put a Vegas 7 computer in a secondary studio, recorded several audio tracks, suddenly on playback it is all static..any ideas? Thanks

how did you load it in? if from a camera or deck it might be a loose connection somewhere. Vegas itself should not be the root of the static. the only time I had that was using a deck that had a loose FW connection.
If you simply copied the file from a HDD then it might be something in the original file OR the OS that isn't playing well with Vegas.

This does not involve a camera at all, I am recording some instruments into the audio tracks via I/O, that is all working fine, it even played back fine a couple times but now all the tracks have static, the static will stop for second and then come back in.

AH, OK then. Well maybe try this. Go to the track header and turn off the audio presets that are there. Try to play - if no static then turn them back on 1 at a time see if and when it comes back.
If that doesn't do it you migh want to re-install Vegas. Sometimes that'll do it.
