Capture Preview Window

Excuse me if this has already been answered, but after searching I can't find a solution.

I'm using Vegas Pro 8.0c and am trying to use the HDV capture window to preview my footage and adjust back focus. Is there anyway to make it larger? I took it out of where it was nested but I can only get it to as large as perhaps 40 or 50 percent of the area available to it. Is there anyway to make it larger? It is a fairly fast machine I am using to their shouldn't be many hardware limitations.

Thank you for your help.

The capture preview window does not scale up to a very large size wether docked or undocked in Vegas. Playback preview can be full screen but that does not help you in real time unfortunately.

I might suggest downloading the trial of Adobe On Location for some full size capture previews...it also has excellent scopes and timecode features.

thank you, I will give that a try. I've been hunting around for a trial of Onlocation, but can't find one anywhere. Any ideas?

adobe.com

you have to hunt just a little for it now that they are advertising the CS4 suite of products (but have not started shipping yet so no trials for that version yet). The CS3 suite files are still there though if you look at the trial software and search for 'all products' then the CS3 OnLocation software comes up in the list of apps.

<EDIT>...hmm I can't seem to find it now either....sorry about the suggestion. Seems adobe has wiped the trial from their site.

Darn. Hmm. Does anyone else make a software like this, stand alone, for the PC? I see there is one, maybe two, for Mac, but I need to get it for a PC.

Thank you for your help with this.

Does anyone know if the 64bit 8.1 version would allow a larger preview window?
