Sony DVD Architect menu question…

Hi – I have a question re: Sony DVD Architect (4.0):
I created a menu using an animated background (Sony’s Heaven in Motion) which is an .avi file.
When I preview the menu, after about 10 seconds, the menu background turns black and stays black. The buttons and titles still show and are usable, but lost the animation.
I tried end action (loop), but that didn’t change things. I tried playing with length and loop settings, but no help.
Any help greatly appreciated.

p.s. would also like to here about sites where animated backgrounds can by purchased or downloaded.
Thanks,
Pete

Do you also have music playing on the menu? (and is it a separate file?)

If you have both music and video and they are not the same length (i.e. the music is LONGER), the video will go to black to the end of the music. Both pieces MUST be the same length.

Ed - Thanks for the reply. Yes I added background music to the menu, but it is over 3 minutes long.

If the video is shorter than the music then it will go to black as soon as the video segment is done. You'll need to render out a video clip that's the same length as the music (maybe even a frame LONGER).
