W/Screen files playing as 4x3

Why do W/S projects not appear w/s after rendering out to AVI as pal w/s when played back in Quicktime or Media player. I have tried several different settings but they always show 4x3
What do I need to do ?

Try to render a piece with a PAR of 1,4568 if i remember correctly.

Thanks Hubert but I don't understand how to do this. I take it that you mean a picture aspect ratio of 1:4.568 but I can't see how to do these settings in V8 in the "render as" box.

I did the suggestion above out of my head, as this setting has to be entered with rendering to 16:9 wmv.
So, i tried to render a piece from HDV to the PAL DV widescreen setting.
I was surprised i can't change the par with this setting, but it showed up correctly (1.457).
After that i played the file in mediaplayer and it showed up correctly, but when i tried the file in quicktime it showed up as a 4:3 file....
Strange but true. At least mediaplayer works for me.
