Plug-Ins and 8.1

Is 8.1 too new for 3rd party plugs ins to work yet? I downloaded two plug-ins from VAAST (one freeware one a demo of their mainline product for Vegas) and I cannot access either from within 8.1. Anyone know anything on this issue? DSE?

Oh and, I am running it under Vista 64.

At this time, Excalibur 6 works fine in Vegas Pro 8.1 and I know of a couple companies working to make their products compatible. Otherwise, at this time most 3rd party products will not work in the 64-bit version of Vegas.
