Prevent Low Res Video From Filling Frame
I'm making a montage video and I have some 320x240 video footage that I'm putting in also. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the video events not fill up the frame (project is SD). I'd like to have the videos zoomed out a bit (with black border all around) because they look horrible zoomed in.
In the Event Pan/Crop settings I've set the Stretch to fill frame: to No. I've set the Position values to 400x300. But the video still fills the frame. I'm at a loss. Any help appreciated. |
To simplify things, I use the "Logo Resize" tool in Excalibur which will scale all selected images back to the original smaller size. By default, Vegas zooms in to make it full size. To defeat that, you need to go into Pan/Crop and reset it back to normal. So just open Pan/Crop and change the width back to "720" and it should be resized back to normal.

I guess I'm trying to use the wrong tool here. The essence, I think, is you can't crop an image "bigger" than 100%, right? I need to zoom out, but the zoom effect is a transition effect, not something I can apply for the whole event. I'm using MSP 9, by the way, not Pro. Don't know if that makes any difference. |

Alternately, if they're all on the same track you might try Track Motion to resize the entire track back to "normal" but I don't know what number you'd type in there without experimenting. |
