Batch rendering of projects?
I found a way to batch render multiple projects (like Compressor) overnight. It's an $80 utility called Veggie Toolkit: Veggie Toolkit 3.0
Here's the question: Is there a way to do this without spending $80? And is Veggie Toolkit stable? It crashed on my Vista x64 workstation when rendering one particular project; (to be fair, the render continued in the background on the Vegas application - it was only Veggie Toolkit that crashed.) I'd pay $80 for it, I think that's fair for what it does, but I'm wondering if there's any other way to do this workflow thing. |
There is a script to do batch rendering but it requires you to have all of the clips int eh current project, then you set up regions for each render. The cool thing is you can render the same thing into a number of different codecs. That way if you need to render for say DVD and web delivery you can do it in one batch.

Veggie Toolkit is a great option. There are other other scripts available that will render multiple projects including free ones. It's just a matter of locating them. There are several repositories of free scripts.

For what it does, I'll pay the $80.
