How to make 720/50p into slow mo 50fps

Hi,

I want to shoot 720/50p with my EX1 instead of 720/25p overcranked to 50fps so I can record sound as well.

What would be the easiest way to transform this 720/50p material into slow motion 50fps on a 25p timeline in Vegas 8c?

Sami

Anyone have any ideas?

Put it onto the Vegas T/L n 50p project. Set ruler to absolute frames. Note number of frames to end of clip. Change project to 25p, ctl+drag end of clip to same number of frames long as before. That's it.

overcranking and Vegas 8c

Just be aware that the slow mo quality will always look better with the over cranked footage.
I have tried every setting with my EX3 and use Vegas 8c to slow it down...and it looks good, but not near as good as over cranked.

Also as far as using Vegas for slow mo with the EX3 I see no difference between 30p and 60p
I was hoping 60p would look the same as over cranked 60p.

I use a separate audio recorder if i need audio with over cranked footage...not a perfect world, but it works

There shouldn't be. In another thread, Sami suggested turned off the Resampling in the Properties of the clip. This help me in creating crisp 720p30 material from my 720p60 footage. Also, are the shutter speeds the same in your comparisons?
