Working with the intermediate files.Workflow
Hola guys, cause i'm starting to editing the m2ts in HD, i wanted suggestions from you on the correct workflow.I'll have a TLine that will have at least 5 tracks so i think it's better to use the intermediate files.Let me know
Hasta luego |
To be honest, I'd try it with the original files and see what happens first. If you don't like the way the original files work, you can always decide to do proxies at that time.

Could you tell me the correct workflow in using the proxies?
thx a lot |
It would depend on things you are not telling us. If you are using Gearshift from VASST you would follow the directions depending on what you want to do in the end.
If you are using Neo Scene the workflow would be different, because you capture intermediate files. With Gearshift you capture M2t files then you use it to create proxies from m2t files. If you are not familiar with these products then you might visit their respective sites, choose a product and that will determine your workflow. |
I'm gonna use Cineform from Vegas and the script to batch the clips...

I haven't used your method, Marcus so I can't help. Switching out intermediates with the original footage and vice versa is done with the click of a button with Gearshift, and is so simple, that I would glady spend $50 to have it all automated for me.
I'm sure someone will chime in here with how it's done from within Vegas. |
thx 4 the answers guys......
JEFF an off topic question:secrets for time lapse if i have recorded 1 hour without stopping the camcorder.Thx |
Don't understand what you need...can you be more specific. If you have recorded an hour of footage without moving the camera, than you have allready done the hard part.
Just use Vegas to speed up the footage, I guess. Or cut out parts of the footage and use soft transitions to join it back together. |
Ok, thx my friend!
Have a nice weekend! MM |
