any other tested systems recommended in the quad core set up?

Hi William,

I'm glad to see that you finally settled on an NLE.

Take a look at this deal. It's only good 'til the end of the month, but it's a great price. You just need to add a DVD Burner, keyboard, mouse and monitor:

Asus M3N78 PRO Barebone Kit - AMD Phenom X4 9500 Quad Core Retail, 4GB DDR2-800 Kingston, 500GB SATA2, Clear Side Mid-Tower, 650W PSU at TigerDirect.com

Good luck!

I'd price the components indiviually before ordering. Also, that board has very mixed reviews. If you're lucky and get a good one you'd be fine, but know what you're getting into beforehand.

Good advice. Reseach is always a good idea. For what it's worth, a friend just purchased this set up and had absolutely no difficulties. Even if this set up isn't right for William, they seem to have some pretty good deals and the site is another option.

Bill, all that matters is that you found one an NLE you feel comfortable with. SpeedEdit is still my favorite and works best for my needs. Best of luck with all of your video adventures!
