Movie Preview and Youtube HQ setting

I just posted an updated preview of my film on Youtube, and the HQ setting seems like magic as does the new (at least to me) widescreen mode. Does anyone know if this can be the default setting for all viewers?

YouTube - Catch A RisingBullet Trailer 2009 Caution - may be edgy or offensive to those with good taste.

The track was rendered out in Vegas Pro 8c with the Sony AVC/AAC template at 640x360. A few of the shots show some unacceptable compression, so I must have included some previously rendered shots, but when I play it back within Vegas, all looks clean.

Looks like it has a lot of potential. Definitely looking forward to more.

YouTube - Catch A RisingBullet Trailer 2009 is the link to direct high quality.

For youtube, if you put "&fmt=18" at the end of the link it will automatically default to HQ, and if the video you uploaded is HD, then the thing you put at the end is "&fmt=22" same as HQ just 22 instead of 18.

Just type "&fmt=18" at the end of the youtube string? That amazing!

Is there any downside to this?

Bradley,

Hailing from Detroit, I couldn't help but notice the significance of your last name. I'm guessing your family goes way back in Windsor's history?

Only that your high-bitrate video will initially come up, which is what you want, but this may be too high for some users' internet access speed.

They'll either endure some pauses while more of your video downloads, or, they can click the "HQ" button from red to grey, to go to the low-bitrate stream (if they know about that control).
