Sony Vegas Pro8 and AVCHD issues.

Has any one run into issues with AVCHD and Vegas Pro 8 on a Windows vista PC (Home premium/32 bit - 3gig Ram/2.4gz).
Most of the threads I've read seem to indicate that the problems are with older or the 'non Pro' versions of Vegas. Any
thoughts on APPLE vs PC for editing HD or the best (mid range $$) editing programs, hardware requirements would be
most welcome.

Thanks.

If you're using AVCHD, you need to make sure you're on Vegas Pro 8.0c or Vegas Pro 8.1. Better support for AVCHD was added in the most recent versions.
