Vegas Pro 9: need help automating some tasks

Hi everyone! I need some help in automating regular render tasks in Vegas Pro 9 64bit. I make lots of videos and the render routine is always the same. I make a project file, each video clip is a region, I add a water mark to each video, I add an image in the beginning of each video, I add a one second audio/video fade in at the beginning of each video, and I add a one second audio/video fade out at the end of each video. Finally all regions are batch rendered, with each clips filename set to the name of the region. Since it's always the same, I'm hoping I can automate much of this process.

I got the region name part figured out. I found a render script online for Vegas Pro 8 that will automatically name a clip to the region name when doing a batch render. I fixed that script to work with Vegas Pro 9 so that part is now nicely automated.

Is it possible to automate the other steps? I read a bit on scripting and it seems like it should be possible to auto fade in/out on clips during render, but I didn't have any luck getting that to work.

Thanks for any help!

If you want to e-mail me, we can talk about details as to exactly which steps can and cannot be automated. As for the fades, those are pretty easy. You can find a sample script here
