Check your email before ordering upgrade!

I just got an email with $199 promotional upgrade from 4+DVD to 5 Production Suite. Offer good for download and box until 5/31/2004.

Good deal- I'm in! Check my email as soon as I get home. Do I have to follow some specific instructions to get the special $199 price?

My "owner's email" offered Vegas 4 to Vegas+DVD 5 for $250. Now I'm glad I was confused this morning -- I would have hated to order and have missed the email!

Vegas 5 can open your Vegas 4 projects. However, you would need to immediately rename the file (i.e. Save As) as Vegas 4 will NOT open Vegas 5 files.

How about my noise reduction plugin that should port fine to V5 right? It's a DirectX plugin if I'm not mistaken.

PS Did you get my email Edward- or did your response get lost again in the matrix?

You probably didn't send a response to my work address...no biggie I'm getting ready to leave here around 4pm...I'll check my mail when I get home at 4:30-5

Is it true, what I hear, about the interface feeling snappy and faster than ever?! I thought V4 was coded excellently, by far the least sluggish NLE I've ever dealt with to date.

reply(s) sent to... @dhs.state......

It definitely feels just as snappy. I didn't necessarily notice "snappier" because, as you said, Vegas 4 is snappy!!

Hi Guys!

Got the email with the upgrade prices. Think I'll wait until I get my email with my FREE upgrade for recent purchases of Vegas 4+DVD.

Unless of course they enact the fine print and make it only for US residents.

Until then, I'll be reading with interest user comments!

Andy

I wasn't on the E-mail list for getting an upgrade discount as a registered user of 4.0. I was told on this forum to call Sony, and all went well--$50 off the $199 price. And free shipping!
