SVP 7 Crashes with AVI's

I'm using Sony Vegas 7.0e and I'm crashing consistently when I try to change any advanced settings to render an AVI, DV, uncompressed etc. (Trying to render to AVI then convert to FLV)

I select render to AVI, and try to change "anything" and it immediatley crashes Sony Vegas Pro 7e.

Any suggestions..(I know upgrade...)

What's the very first event on the timeline?
Does it have any FX on it?

Mike,

The very first items are a PNG logo, below is a gradient, next track is video and CC on my video, then narration, and music bed...

In other words, nothing fancy.
Try starting over with a brand new project and see if that helps.

Mike,

I can use the drop down menu and select an AVI profile. However if I try to do anything else it crashes and its repeatable..

Sounds like a corrupt intall of either SVP or an AVI codec. What non-standard codecs have you installed?

Should I reinstall Vegas? I've installed the Huffy avi codec awhile back, but everything seemed to work when I installed that..
