Scripting Error

I have just downloaded Excalibur & now when I try to use the auto save I get this error message :

"An error occurred during the execution of this script.
Error 0x80131600 (message missing)"

I have never used scripting, don't really understand it, so I haven't a clue what this is about !

Ron, if you would e-mail me directly, we'll try and figure out what's going on. I will really need more details, though. Send me an e-mail with a step by step list of what you did and when the error occurred.

Thanks very much Edward. - I can't go into the fine details right now but briefly I looked in "Help" and found scripts from the drop-down menu, & then found the downloaded Excalibur & selected Auto-save.

However, tonight when I have more time I will open it up & hopefully give you more details. (It's a pity Vegas error messages can't be copied)

Thanks again,

RonC.

Edward, here are further details :

Tools/Scripting/run script/Auto-save .dll - Then I get this message :
"An error occurred during execution of the script."

Details - "System.ApplicationException: Failed to create instance of main class: 'EntryPoint'.
at Sony.Vegas.ScriptHost.ScriptManager.Run(Assembly asm, String className, String methodName)
at Sony.Vegas.ScriptHost.RunScript(Boolean fCompileOnly) "

(I was able to copy the details).

This is all Greek to me !

Thanks for your help.

RonC.

Ahh... you're starting it wrong.

Excalibur and Project Inspector: View - Extensions and they'll be listed there.

Auto Save: Tools - Extensions and it will be listed there.

They're not "Scripts", they're "Custom Commands" that show up in the Extensions menus.
