Tape captured with Vegas 9.0 (64bit) - strange artefacts

I've just captured a tape using vegas 9.0 64 bit on Windows 7, with a new i5 Dell Studio laptop and have got a lot of strange artefacts which do not show on the camera whilst capturing.

It was shot in Dubai on a Sony Z7e (pal) in HDV1080i. The camera's shutter speed was set to 1/3rd of a second to get the blurred effect of the cars.

Unlike the rest of the trip I didn't capture to Compact Flash as I let the tape run for an hour with the plan of capturing and speeding up the footage.

Is it an error whilst capturing? I just used Vegas's standard capture (File - Capture Video) and had the correct settings as far as I know.

Review those portions of the tape on the camera screen or on a TV directly from the camera. If you don't see them in the same frames then it's most likely an error while capturing due to your computer or you need to clean your heads.

First, the basics - assure that you are using the internal (not external) capture application, the app for HDV.

The only time I've had capture problems at all similar to this, although it looked fine in the camcorder's playback, I used a head-cleaning tape to clean the heads, that cleaned it up.
