Vegas nOOb question about scrubbing

I am used to editing with Adobe Premiere or Pinnacle Studio but am trying out Vegas. I have a "problem" when scrubbing the timeline. It only scrubs in realtime no matter how fast I move the cursor wich is really annoying when wanting to quick find a spot.

I am guessing this can be turned of somewhere?!?

This took me awhile to get used to after working with Premier and DPS: you have to use right mouse button to do what you want, which means that you will be doing most of your scrubbing with your middle finger. I wish there was a way to reverse these two.

Try using the J & L keys on the keyboard, fast rewind and fast forward.

Paul.

Try clicking and scrubbing the cursor line (below the actual cursor marker) and you should be able to scrub at high speed. You won't get sound when you do this but video will move as fast as you can slide.

Thanks, this was exactly what I was looking for! I would probably never have thought to try this myself.

You might want to also try the drag line approach. It's gives you the same effect without the audio sounds while scrubbing. You'll need to click the left mouse button when doing it.

I'll counterbalance that RMB complaint with my favorite special Vegas touch: Just under the icons bar at the top is a button called Dim Output. With one click you can bring down the volume when the phone rings, or when working at home in the middle of the night. I don't think too many apps has this.

That's awesome!
