Vegas Pro and Final Cut

Does Sony Vegas Pro have anything close to COLOR and or Motion Graphics?

Thanks

Nope.

Vegas probably has the best built-in color correction in any NLE (aside from the realtime Matrox stuff in Premiere if you're using an Axio system) - it isn't anywhere close to Color though.

One of my favorite plug-ins for Vegas (freebie) is a 6 way color corrector. Very cool.

Aside from that, there really isn't anything in Vegas motion graphic-wise that can't be done in FCP.

I used Motion extensively along with Vegas. If you have both, they're a good duo.

NewBlueFX has a color-grading plugin for Vegas that's pretty cool. and inexpensive.

Track Motion in Vegas does some pretty amazing stuff.

Michael: How do you use FC Studio's Motion with Vegas?

What plug-in are you referring to?

He's talking about this: AAV ColorLab

Pretty darn handy since it's accelerated and available in 32 and 64bit. I use it mostly for white balance correction, but it's a nice addition to the toolbox for sure.

AVV is OK but it will be abrupt in it's changes (colour & light) if the light changes, so look out for that
