Proxy Options

Sounds like broker speak but I'm befuddled by the various versions of AVI containers that exist on the internet. I am using a trial of Edius Neo and Vegas Platinum. Neos has a good converter that I've used with some other editors with good results. However, I've tried some other conversion programs that provide less then stellar results.

My camera is a T2i. What programs do you use for conversion? I'd prefer a FOSS solution as I have yet committed to an editor at this time.

Thanks,
Burt

Good Morning,

Can't you use Neo scene, it changes the color space to 4:2:2 which also gives you more latitude in color correcetion as well? I use it in Edius and vegas just fine. it is a pretty economical program.
