Another problem

Hi everyone,

Wow, I really feel like Vegas is crumbling on me. Here's another problem I'm having.

I haven't changed a damn thing on my project settings (jpg attached) and I'm trying to render out for DVD Architect. I'm using the standard template (jpg attached) for it just like I've always done. Now, when I render there are thin black bars on each side of my film. This has never happened before.

EDIT: I think I found my problem. Thanks!

Hi Mike,

It might be useful if you tell us you solution in case anybody else has the same problem.

My guess is you rendered it out and then imported in back onto a HD project either in Vegas or DVD Architect. The frame sizes/pixel aspect ratios are not exactly the same and you end up with slight pillar-boxing. This is solved by making sure your source properties match your timeline/project properties or by opening the properties and unchecknig the box for "maintain aspect ratio."

Hi John,

You're right! I was going to come back and post the (extremely simple) fix, but I was so involved in trying to finish this project that I forgot.

Due to some other issues I was having with Vegas, I had set everything back to factory default settings. So when I went to render a 16:9 clip out, I didn't have the "stretch video to match...do not letterbox" (or something like that) box clicked off. Since it has been a while that I've had Vegas on my computer without factory settings in place, I completely forgot to do it.
