Burn 5dmk2 to BluRay

I've been beating my head against the wall trying to take my full HD and going through a PC - Cineform - Sony Vegas Studio HD 10 - DVD architect 5 path and the DVD result is total crap.

If I burn to BluRay will this be an easier good result to be seen??

I just want a simple workflow that produces a great looking outcome. I'm not a video engineer not really even call myself a videographer even though I have hundreds of videos completed.

The "for computer" 720 Mp4s look great on computer but the conversion onto media for consumption later as on TV is NOT working with the DVD SD conversion.

You will need additional conversion software, such as VirtualDub, to properly downsize videos from HD to SD for DVD. Vegas and most other NLEs by themselves do a very poor job of downsizing video resolution because they use the wrong resizing method.

Burning onto Blu-ray can preserve the 720p HD. However, Blu-ray @ 720p only supports 24p, 50p or 60p; it does not support 25p or 30p without conversion to one of the supported frame rates. Thus, if your videos are 720/25p or 720/30p, you will have to convert anyway, which may result in degraded image quality.

If I went BluRay I keep it at the full 1080p so would this work well?

Actually, Vegas 9 out to mpeg2 for standard DVD works quite well. Of course your are losing resolution, and it is far from looking as good as it would on blu-ray, but again, it terms of standard resolution, it's about as good as it gets.

Not sure about Vegas Studio capabilities though...

Yes, if you can, burn to blu-ray and play it back that way for best results.
