Capturing 24p - Vegas makes a new Clip file for almost each frame

Am I doing something wrong? When I capture video from my camera (shot in 24f/p), Vegas thinks almost each frame is a separate clip. How can I correct this problem?

Upon some further digging into the archives - I found this thread:

Cliff's notes - version 8.0a and 8.0b tends to mess up while capturing 24f video. Upgrading to version 8.0c, 9.0+, or downgrading to 7.x solves the issue (as it has for me).
