which format for BR disc

Family vacation 99% shot in with sony's hc3 cam. Final project will be just a little over 3 hours. I don't know what to choose when it comes to BR using Architect. I can either do two 25gb br disc at a mpeg2 25mbps bit rate.
Or do one 25gb br disc at AVC 15mbps bit rate.
Which will give me better quality?

Thanks

If it were me, I would go with 15mbs AVC. . your right on.. your 3 hrs and 2 bdr. do one of each and share your experience would be great.

So far I've been cooking 25mbps projects and love the outcome kinda nervous in squeezing it. If we didn't have to much on the "to do" list on that vacation I would not be in this spot.....arrgh.

Keep in mind that there is no good way to transfer HDV content onto Blu-ray disc without sacrificing some image quality. This is because your Sony HC3 camcorder is a tape-based unit that uses HDV (25 Mbps CBR MPEG-2 at 1440x1080i anamorphic), which is not officially suupported by the Blu-ray Disc Association. In order to get an officially supported Blu-ray transfer from HDV, you'll have to either upconvert 1440x1080i to 1920x1080i or transcode CBR MPEG-2 to AVC.
