Dual system audio recording and video gaps

I use a Panasonic GH2 and a Marantz PMD661 for dual system audio recording. I use Pluraleyes to sync the sound and manage to get the audio tracks easily in sync. My problem is that I always start the audio recorder before the camera and stop the audio recorder after the camera. Very often I also stop and start a video clip while the audio is running. So when I sync the sound I end up with a result in the timeline where there are alot of gaps in the video. I want to end up with a result where I have grouped audio and video where the video is without gaps. Manually it is easy but timeconsuming to close all these gaps (and split audio from the audio recorder). Is there any way to do this job automatically? I believe it should be possible to write a sqript for Vegas that does this but I am not a scripting expert.

I found one solution. There is a sqript called DAWF that replace the good audio with the bad. Then it is possible to run a simple close gap script afterwards.

Excalibur will remove gaps with a single click and automates quite a few other processes, saves me countless hours of mundane editing.
