NeatVideo VirtualDub workflow question

I've got HD footage that I will be producing a DVD from. I normally output from Vegas to an AVI HD (1920x1080). Use VDub to resize to SD. Pull the SD AVI into Vegas and render a DVD compliant mpeg file. For this project I will be using NeatVideo to clean up some noise. Is it better to render the AVI HD using NeatVideo then resize and render the mpeg out of Vegas without NeatVideo

or

Render the AVI HD without NeatVideo, resize in VDub, then render the mpeg with NeatVideo plugin?

Thought I'd ask here if anyone has any experience with which is better before I run a bunch of tests.

Thanks,
Garrett

Thanks Thomas,

Have you ever done any direct comparison to see if there is a difference in the order?

i'd agree applying Neat before Lanczos'ing is a good idea.

1) removing noise and artifacts first is quite common, usually before compositing, cc, etc... always get your footage looking its best before you tweak it!
2) resizing is often one of the last things you'll want to do before sending it out into the world (only thing after might be a mild sharpening if the resize softens the image more than you like or a colorspace shift if needed)
