Architect re-compresses 24/192 stereo PCM

I'm trying to render blu-ray discs with audio (2 channel) that was recorded as 24/192 PCM. DVD Architect 5.2 says audio will be re-compressed even though there's plenty of disc space. Is there a workaround?

did you set the Audio defaults in your DVD-A project?

Go File > Properties, scroll half-way down to Audio defaults:

1) Audio format: PCM Stereo
2) BIt depth: 24
3) Sample Rate (Hz): 192,000

(i've never made a Blu-ray with 24-bit audio so don't know if this'll solve your problem)

Yeah that's how the properties are set up. Puzzling that it will let you select 24/192, and then automatically re-compress the sample rate.

It will let you select anything, but it must re-render if the settings you choose are not compliant with DVDA.

Go to Vegas help and you'll find the parameters for settings that do not have to be re-rendered.

Thanks guys. This is for blu-ray not DVD and 24/192 is a permissible bit and sample rate. The help dialogue confirms this. I rendered a few samples and the rendered file seems to be the same size as the original 24/192 files so I'm not sure the audio files are actually being compressed. They certainly aren't being reduced to 24/96 or 24/48, though I'm not sure they're being rendered untouched.

See what you mean now, that is weird, but as you point out it seems no loss of quality is occurring, so not much to do...will just cost you a bit extra time.
