Where to buy

Anyone know a reputable place with a good price for Vegas 6 suite, I want the whole shabang. I didn't know if anyone had found some good deals lately. Some places on the net don't look too good, but they have good prices. Given the money I'm sinking in hardware, 50 bucks difference is a good thing.

VideoGuys and B&H are two reputable sources.

Just like Edward said, those are the places to start. If you feel like taking a class or two at the local community college you may qualifiy for a "student" discount, it drops the price in half. It also adds to your knowledge of video production. Antimation, Editing, Comp.... you name it, most CC's have at least one class you may find will help you in some way. I reccomend Photoshop if possible.

Hey Fred, yeah, that's the software itself. I was looking for the whole Acid/DVD/Vegas suite. Thanks for the reply.

I got my software, it appears to be legit. 480 wasn't a bad price.

I checked my disks and box was real ect, has the manuals with all the extra software, not sure how to verify other than that. I kinda expected the box to be in plastic, but I'm not sure how it normally comes. I haven't installed because I'm finalizing my build at the moment.

But on the up and up, it looks real to me. hehe.

As a side note - I'm sure it has a startup manual. The full manual is not included in the box except as a PDF file on the disc.

Also, Ignore the CD for installing - download the latest version from Sony's website and install that instead.

Yes. The key that came with your CD will work with the latest download version (which is currently 6.0b assuming it is Vegas 6).
