MB Looks 1.4.2 working one day, not the next
 

Hi all,

I was using Magic Bullet Looks 1.4.2 with Sony Vegas Pro 10.0c 32-bit fine for awhile, then all of a sudden, MB Looks stops working. When I go to add the MB effects plugin on a video clip, it tries to load LooksBuilder, but then promptly crashes with the error saying that something went wrong. After this, Vegas freezes as well and needs to quit.

I didn't change anything between the time it was working and now (not working). Any ideas?

I even tried to uninstall MB, but strangely it told me it was already uninstalled despite showing up in my programs list in the control panel of Windows 7 Ultimate. In any case, I reinstalled and still the same issue! Then I uninstalled again and tried to install the trial (of 1.4.2, not 1.4.3 which doesn't support Vegas anymore). Even the trial can't seem to load LooksBuilder properly! I can't color correct to even get a watermarked trial image.

When something suddenly "doesn't work anymore", that usually means that SOMETHING changed. What if you do a system restore back to when it DID work?

It is just all very strange, because no new programs were installed...nothing was updated...

Unfortunately, I don't have a system restore.
