2 different formats on same timlene

Hi. I am in PAL land and have to make a 2 camera edit. One camera shoots HDV 1440x1080 50i and the other 1280x720 25p. Should I put both .mt2 files as they are on the timeline or should I change the format of one of them, using Reference, and then put 2 files with the same proprties on the timeline? And if I was to go with the first option (not changing formats), what would be the best properties setting for my Vegas project? I have some ideas on this but would like to hear other opinions. Thanks a lot

First set your project properties to the desired output format. Then just drop both original clips onto the timeline and edit away...

Interesting!
Ed if i have 1440x1080 50 i and 1920x1080 24p and my final output is 1440 x 1080 50i i aask you if i have to change anything on the 24p clips (that are just few). For example should i "resample" anything?
Thx

Just test it both ways and see which works better for your footage.

No matter which way you do it, always Disable resample on all clips.
I've yet to find a project that looks better with resampling.

Try this,
Disable resample on all clips,
Go to properties and set ruler to absolute frames.
Is it better?
