Current Plugins:

I was going to post this in the color correction thread but thought I would make a new thread and have others add on ones they know of that arre high value.

I don't have them all but I find the following very useful and use them often: Excalibur, Prodad mercalli, Neat video, color Lab, Pixlean.

It would be great to get a comprehensive list.

Re: Current Plugins:

Please note: Some of these are scripts, some are effects/transitions, some are current and others are extremely old, and a few actually no longer officially support Vegas. But overall it's a good start on a list.

Re: Current Plugins:

FBMN's white balance plugin for Vegas Pro is great. Much better than the built in. It has made color correction much easier.

Re: Current Plugins:

In light of the recent discussion on colour correction tools, would it be wise to say that Colorista is not a Vegas plugin?

As the list is including older products, including some defunct ones, perhaps Magic Bullet Looks should be included, even though current versions do not work with Vegas (please let's not open up that old chestnut again!).

Also:

Sapphire Plug-ins for OFX-Based Platforms Features | GenArts
Monsters GT Plugins for Nuke/OFX Features | GenArts
RE:Vision Effects, Inc. : Products: Twixtor (not officially supported but apparently OFX version works)

Likewise I don't have all the tools listed but the ones I do have and use every day are Excalibur, a good number of individual plugins from NewBlue's collection and Neat Video. Occasionally I drop out to 32 bit to use some of the individual tools in Looks, that's becoming less frequent as those tools are appearing in Vegas more through developers such as NewBlue.

Re: Current Plugins:

Thought you might like to know that Frederic Baumann, who created the excellent White Balance Plug In, has now produced an equally good one for dealing with under exposure.

It's availabe from his web site at:

FBmn Software - plugins for Sony Vegas Pro 10

which also gives examples of the Plug In in operation. It is available on a short free trial basis if you want to test it before buying. Thoroughly recommended.

Re: Current Plugins:

In addition to the ones listed above here's a couple I find valuable:

proDAD Mercalli V2 - 3D image stabilizer, rolling shutter removal, zoom optimisation, pan shot optimisation
Video Essentials II Proven Techniques For Professional-Quality Results | NewBlueFX (the Chroma Keyer is quite good; occassionally use the Noise Reduction; don't have much use for the rest of the collecition)
