AVI files have no audio! What to do?
I have two separate Widescreen SD video files shot with two different cameras, FX1 and FX1000.
They play perfectly in Windows Media Player. When brought into Vegas they have no audio. When I drag them onto the timeline, no audio track is created, as per usual. I strongly suspect they were corrupted during a file transfer between drives, but have not other ideas as to the why. Anyone know how I might fix them? |
Re: AVI files have no audio! What to do?
I imported one of the video files into Movie Maker, and am rendering it out. The video will be useless, but I'll take the audio from it and match it up to the original video clip in Vegas, and if it syncs up, all should be well!

Working like a charm.

How did you capture them? I thought the FX1000 was a DV cam which should be a no-brainer for Vegas to use.

Captured with HV30, along with a dozen other tapes, but these two were hincky for some reason.
