Creating in-vision timecode
 

I'm using some material that I shot on a HFS100 to be shown on a tv screen in a court-room scene for a TV drama series.
I want to be able to add time code that shows a ficticious time of day (script-time, not actual source timecode or timeline timecode)
Is there a workround so that I can actually create the time?

Couldnt you just put a timecode on a black solid,
Then add your text, ie. day date etc to your liking.
Render it out to something fast, Ive used mpeg2 in the past, it screams. Hint. you only need to do something small, maybe 640x360, even for use in a 1080p project because your timecode wont be full screen.
Drag it in to your project and apply a chroma key to remove the black, and then you have a white print timecode with a manufactured alpha channel.

Hi Gerald,
What I'm trying to do is to create a running time of day, such as 00:13:22:16 so it is a false T/C. I need a T/C generating plugin that let's me set the time and not use clip time.

Just solved it!
Right-click on timeline ruler and select "Set time at cursor"
Created time that I wanted
Open Media FX (not Video Event FX) and select "Timecode"
...and away to go!

Just shows how amazing SV Pro can be...
