Export to MVC??? True or False

Hi guys,

I use another NLE (shame on me) but was very interested to read that the new Vegas supports the MVC codec. I read the documentation on Sony's web site and got the impression that the only way you could utilise this codec in stereo export was via burn to 3D Bluray disc. I asked this question on the cow forum and got the answer that you could export a stereo timeline to a stereo MVC encoded standalone file. Is this true?
