Stereoscopic Second Monitor in Vegas 11

Hello all

I've installed the trial of Vegas 11 and I can't figure out how to get my second monitor (actually a projector) to display stereoscopic 3D.

In Vegas 10 in Preferences > Preview Device you could choose "Stereoscopic 3D Graphics Card" and I used my Quadro card and nVidia 3D Vision glasses to view 3D on the projector.

In Vegas 10 the Stereoscopic option has gone from the same menu and you just have "Windows Graphics Card". The help tells me to then set the 3D mode as side-by-side, field sequential etc as the stereoscopic mode at the bottom of the panel - but there's no option for nVidia 3D Vision.

Have they removed this functionality?! This is just the trial so maybe its only in the full version.

thanks

/ben

Try Left and Right in Preferences / Preview Device / Stereoscopic 3D mode.

Turning on "Left and Right" gives me a black preview monitor.

Maybe there's something I need to change in my nVidia setting or update my Quadro driver.

Yes, it looks like you need to change your 3D settings in the NVIDIA driver. Unfortunately, I do not know to what as I only use a 3D monitor, not two projectors.

The settings change that you are looking for in the nvidia driver are:

- stereo enable
- generic active stereo (with nvidia 3D vision)

I am not sure if that is the exact wording, since I use the German version.

And you have to create in the nvidia driver your own template for Vegas.
