Setting up my workstation with 2 monitors plugged to my Dell m 6300 with Vegas 10
Hola guys,
it's been a long time i'm not writing on the forum....I have been very busy and i've been away from my land :( but MM is back! I have a question for you gurus. I'm using a Dell M6300 Prrecision with Vegas 10.0 and i use it with a secon DELL 24"" monitor. Now i wanted to know if i could attach a third monitor for color correction that should be an LCD to preview everything. I have an NVIDIA QUADRO fX 3600 and the back of my pc has these connections Dell Precision M6300 Pagina 3 | BitCity.it Do you think i could use it without connecting a firewire device? Thx |

If you only have the VGA and DVI outputs, then no, you can't do a third monitor without firewire.

It looks like you have a DVI port, a VGA port, and a firewire port.
Most consumer graphics cards (maybe every one) can support only two screens at once, so if you're using your external monitor and your laptop screen, you can't have a third monitor using the DVI or VGA ports. So, you need to preview out through firewire. |
