DVD Architect file sizes larger than expected

DVD Architect is new to me. I'm using Mark's DVD Bit rate calculator to estimate files size renders. Using the suggested min-ave-max settings, I render an mpeg2 file that is 3.65 GB, BUT when it's inserted into DVD Architect I get a project size of 5.2 GB.

Using the calculator with my previous DVD program always produced the correct file size.

What am I missing?

DVDA overestimates the size of the finished project. Proceed with the preparation and burn. If it is truly too large you will receive an error message before the burn process starts.
