strange vegas problem

When I start vegas on my new laptop I can't seem to work with mxf files. Vegas only shows audio when importing mxf and there is also no render template for mxf.. When I start vegas with CTRL+shift+clicking the icon, everything works fine until I restart by just clicking the icon then everything is gone again. does anybody know what could cause this issue? I have contacted sony support a couple of days ago but no answer... I have tried reinstalling the application several times with no luck... My laptop is an intel I7 3.4GHZ with 32Gig ram and a gtx680/4GBddr5 with 2ssd in raid config.

Sorry for being off topic Jurgen, but what brand of laptop is that?
I can't help with the MXF sorry.

Hi Gerald,
It's a custom configuration from BTO laptops in the netherlands, think the brand is clevo. They can now even deliver it with a double gtx680 in sli :-) ....

Re: strange vegas problem

Are you working with MXF files that have video in anything other than MPEG-2? Because that would be the source of the problem.

Avid DNxHD MXFs for instance cannot be read by Vegas. Vegas can only read DNxHD MOVs. Same goes for any foreign format other than MPEG-2 inside the MXF wrapper.
