Which driver for a 6870?
 

I'm completely frustrated trying to render in Vegas 12. Everything freezes. Everything. I've tried reinstalling and it still doesn't work. I've tried with and without GPU acceleration.

Any ideas? I'm thinking the video card is responsible, but not certain.

Try rendering to a different format and see if that helps.

Try reducing the RAM Preview amount to a smaller number.

Try reducing the number of rendering threads and see if that helps.

Thanks Edward, been getting info from you and your website for years and appreciate how generous you are with your knowledge.

I tried your suggestions and still got crashes, so I uninstalled all the AMD Catalyst Software and all AMD Drivers, leaving me with VGA. Then I reinstalled the Graphics drivers and reinstalled Vegas. Everything is working fine so far.
